Hi there!  My name is Okwa'ri Owi'rah.  I know, it's a strange name, it means Little Bear in Mohawk.  I got my cool name from my Mom's side of the family.  She is 1/2 Mohawk Indian - Akwesasne tribe.  Anyway, to pronounce my name you say it like this:

O-gwa-lee O-wee-la

I am a registered Boxer from E-leet's kennel from Porter Texas.  My color is brindle, which means I am mostly brown and black.  I have a little white splash on my chest and my toes are all white except one.

These picture were taken when I was 7 1/2 weeks old.  I still need to have my floppy ears cropped and I am not looking forward to that.

Sunny days, green grass and good leather just makes my day.
Now I have my little bear to gnaw on.
See, I got a cute butt too.  Short stubby tail too!
No, I don't want to go outside again, it's cold out there.
That rain water on the floor tastes like ceramic tile....
Mmmmmm, my second favorite thing to chew on, Wranglers!
Hold still Okwa'ri (O-gwa-lee), this is a Kodak® moment.
Lovin' on my bear, puppy style....
Okay, make it quick!
What?
Ain't I cute?  If I do say so myself.
Ahhhh, puppy dreams.
Look, I'm in the lead!!!

Here's where I had my ears cropped.  It's about 3 weeks

after.

Here he is at about 8 1/2 months
9 months gettin' ready for a road trip to New Braunfels
What?  Hmmm?  Que?

It's a been a while since we took some pics of the pooch.  Here are a few to bring us up to date.

Caught Okwari sporting one of Daniel's shirts

Found Okwari sunning himself outside.  He is usually difficult to photograph.  Since he was outside and we were inside, we snapped a few through the window.  One of the few times he is actually CALM!

Riding back from our annual river trip in New Braunfels.  Everyone was crashed except the driver.  I had to wake the wife to snap this one.
The flash woke Okwari up.
What up?!
This was one of the busy days with Okwa'ri.  Running around with me keeping him busy, up early, playing, running, chasing, on and on.  Finally, I didn't see him for a while and went looking for him.  This is what I found.  Completely exhausted in one of his favorite spots.
Relaxing in the front yard.  The grass is cool and there is a breeze out of the south.
"I'm sorry, can you run that by me again?"
New Years Eve 2006.  Checking out the fireworks from the other side of the neighborhood.
Something moved, I know it did...  Good view of his pattern.
Here's Okwa'ri in the Bluebonnets.  Not really caring about the flowers as you can see.
Ten Hut!
Good timing....
This is a picture of Heidi, the dam we bred Okwa'ri with.  Since she belongs to some else, I do not have any other pictures of her.  But, this is clear clean image of her.  The breeding was sucessful.  Puppies are due April 7th, 2008.
