Howdy ya'll! Welcome to my home page. My title has my name and I live in Richmond, Texas. I have many years of semiconductor factory automation experience in both hardware and software. I have experience in semiconductor factory automation, mechanical design, electro-mechanical systems, automotive engine design and theory, mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, CAD, heat transfer, etc. I currently work as a Mechanical Development Engineer for Schlumberger OFS in the Formation Evaluation - Wireline, Sustaining & Rapid Response division. Heck of a title. However, it is a very interesting and challenging position.
My favorite hobby is my cars. I have a 1993 Pontiac Formula and used to own a 1992 European model BMW M5. I ordered the Formula in April of 1993 and took delivery in May. I drove the car for about a year before I started modifying it. I modify the car with an overall goal in mind. Make it corner like a slot car and make enough power to run like a scalded ape. In May 2002, I purchased a 1970 Chevelle SS. Unfortunately, I had to sell it 6 months later. It is a driver's car so it isn't all perfect. It needs some work and I have already started fixing minor problems with wiring and re-installing the factory air conditioner. Pictures and info can be found on the web page. In 2005, I acquired another '70 Chevelle when my wife bought it for me as a birthday present. All you motor-heads out there - "Ain't that cool?" Take a look here.
My M5 hasn't been without its troubles and tribulations either. I purchased the car with an engine defect that soon showed its ugly head. The result? I had to rebuild the engine from the bottom up. Visit the BMW page for all the fun.
I used to own a 1991 Suzuki 600 Katana. Of course I didn't leave it stock either. I've enjoy taking quick trips around town and back and forth to school, but the real fun is canyon carving through the Texas hill country. After riding this bike for 8 years, I'm ready to move up to something larger.
